Autumn Decor Inspiration to Cosy Up Your Home

Autumn Decor Inspiration to Cosy Up Your Home

Autumn, in recent years, has been thrown onto the same list as lattes and yoga pants- ie. something millennial women get way too excited about. Turns out getting giddy about woolly cardigans, and making cosy-sounding-music playlists and baking pumpkin spice anything makes for a basic bitch, and it’s a badge I wear with pride. Hey, even Taylor Swift leaned into the trope in this TikTok montage video, entitled “Basic Autumn Lovers Rise”.

There’s pretty much nothing about the season I don’t love, but top of the list has to be the excuse to stay home in front of the fire, cosying up on the couch with a million decorative cushions, scented candles and oversized mugs of hot chocolate. Readying your space for the full experience just takes a few simple changes- like adding more cushy textiles, candlesticks, earthy tones and, most effectivey, incorporating nature into your home styling. Think dried branches, wild foliage and pinecones.

For some examples on how to do it, check out these inspiration ideas taken from my Pinterest board { a u t u m n }, which is full of cosy autumnal goodness.
